Sauna safety

Sauna is a safe and fantastically healthy activity for most people. But with the temperatures involved, it's important to follow a few safety rules—and always pay attention to how your body feels.

Our sauna experts are always on hand to offer advice and to supervise all sessions. We make sure there's enough fresh air circulating, that the sauna doesn't become too hot, and that everyone takes regular breaks to cool off. We'll also remind you to drink lots of water to rehydrate after sweating in the heat of the sauna.

Sitting in the heat of the sauna raises your heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature, so if you have any conditions related to these, check with your GP first. Sauna is also not recommended in pregnancy.

Everyone who saunas with us will need to sign a waiver first (see below). You only need to do this once so read it carefully in case there's anything you need to be mindful of 🙏 .

Saunature participant rules and agreement

By booking a sauna session with us, you agree to:

  • Ensure all members of your party and guests understand and follow Saunature Spa guidelines to maintain a safe environment.

  • Accept that if these terms are breached, Saunature Spa may cancel your ticket, booking, or entry and ask you to leave the premises immediately.

  • You take full responsibility for your safety and belongings during your participation, except in cases of severe negligence by Saunature Spa under UK law.
